Modes: Optin Exempt and Optout

It is in this context that Piano Analytics offers a “ hybrid measure ” allowing to !differentiate the collection of data according to the type of user consent, with three modes: “optin”, “exempt” and “optout”.

In optin, the user has accepted cookies intended for audience measurement: the collection is exhaustive. For example, we can collect data concerning the identification of a visitor (customer ID, etc.), or data relating to their CRM categorization (pro / part, prospect / customer, etc.), which.

Possible With other Consent Methods

The user has not given consent to the collection or has refused analytics cookies. Data collection is then partial. It only contains parameters deemed strictly necessary for the operation of the company, devoid of identification france phone number library information. For example, for an e-retailer, transaction data is considered essential to manage its growth. In this mode, only the native parameters of a classic hit and information related to the name of the page and the name of the click are collected.

Finally, in “optout” mode, the Internet user has expressed the refusal of the exempted collection. In this case, the company cannot carry out any data collection, or only as part of an anonymization of the visitor. In this case, no cookies are placed and it must not be possible to reconcile two events belonging to the same session.

On a case-by-case basis, possibilities for enrichment in “exempt” mode

Please note: in “exempt” mode, it is entirely possible to enrich the partial ! collection with additional parameters, in accordance with its legal department. For example, it is possible to send information on it’s adapting to reality transactions using a random identifier, which does not allow this information to be cross-referenced with the transactions in the back office.

The first two collection modes can be defined and modified ! by the Internet user at two stages: on the consent banner, when the user clicks on “I  ontinue ! well as in the consent management center. These two levels  bfb directory are generally managed by the CMPs.

On the other hand, the “optout” mode is defined in the navigation ! generally via a link in the privacy charter or in the second level of privacy. This makes it possible to respond to a legal issue: at any time during their navigation.  A user must have the possibility to stop the tracking of tracers.</p>
