Semrush is a tool for researching keywords and creating top SEO content , but it is also very useful when you simply need a boost of inspiration for your editorial calendar.

  1. Domain Overview – In this report you can enter the domain of any of your competitors and access a table containing the top keywords that generate organic email data traffic and the top landing pages.
  2. Backlink analytics: under the indexed pages tab of the backlinks report you can find the pages of your competitors that have accumulated the most backlinks . Analyze what type of content has been most effective in generating links, the possible reasons for its success (by topic, focus, length, format, etc.) and look for ideas to replicate them.
  3. Keyword Gap:  This feature allows you to compare your keywords with those of your competitors and identify both those that are common across multiple domains and those that are exclusive to one of them. The easiest way to get quick content ideas is to search for the keywords that are exclusive to each of your competitors, export them, and analyze their possibilities.
