Protecting your privacy online is more important than ever. Windows 11 offers a built-in feature called DNS over HTTPS (DoH), which encrypts your DNS requests, protecting your online activity from potential snoopers and cyber threats. By turning on DoH, you ensure that your DNS requests are encrypted, making your browsing experience more secure.
How does DNS over HTTPS work?
Every time you visit a website, your computer sends a request to a DNS server to find the corresponding IP address. If these DNS requests are not encrypted, they can be intercepted or modified by attackers. DNS over HTTPS encrypts these requests using the HTTPS protocol, ensuring that your requests remain private line database and are not modified during transmission. This not only increases your privacy, but also protects you from man-in-the-middle attacks.
